Library Closure: Memorial Day
The Fremont County Library System will be closed in observance of Memorial Day Saturday, May 25th through Monday, May 27th. Regular hours will resume on Tuesday, May 28th.

Join us for a book discussion and movie night based on Mark Obmascik’s The Big Year for Sink Canyon State Park’s latest book club meeting! Books are available to borrow at the Lander Library front desk while supplies last.

Our Enhanced StoryTime (for infants through preschoolers) is Wednesdays at 10:30 am

Met Opera: Madama Butterfly
Lander’s 2023/24 Met Opera season comes to a close with Puccini’s devastating tragedy, featuring acclaimed maestro Xian Zhang making her Met debut conducting Anthony Minghella’s vivid production.
Storytime Dance Party
Come dance with us at the library! Our monthly dance parties for preschool-aged kiddos have plenty of songs, stories, and dancing. Caregivers are required to be present, and may even find it impossible to resist joining in the fun!

Lego Club and Junior Builders
Join us at the library for some Lego building fun! Our once monthly Lego Club is open to children ages 6 to 12 for free building with library Legos, creations will be displayed in the Children’s department for the week following the club. Our Junior Builders club is open to children ages 3 to 5 with an adult caregiver.

Reduce, Reuse, Upcycle: The Art of Bookbinding
Our Good Stewards of the Earth series concludes this spring with a workshop where we’ll learn to master the art of bookbinding and upcycling repurposed materials in collaboration with Rebound: The Art of Repurposing! Join us for a hands-on experience and create your very own masterpiece from entirely repurposed materials.
Community Conversations: Democracy Under Construction
Join LWVFC and WY Humanities Council at the Lander Library for a guided nonpartisan discussion on the book Democracy Under Construction. The theme for the discussion is “Community and Personal Connections” and will include readings of works from Ralph Waldo Emerson, Abraham Lincoln, Marko Ruble, and Jess Fahlsing.

Urban Jungle: House Plants 101
We're continuing our Good Stewards of the Earth series this spring with an introductory workshop on caring for your leafy friends at home! Join us to learn everything you need to know about starting and taking care of your urban jungle…we’ll cover everything from watering, potting, lighting, reviving troubled plants, and more!
