WHAT TO WATCH FOR IN YOURSELF AND OTHERS. Alzheimer’s causes changes in memory, thinking and behavior that are not normal aging. Join us to learn about: The difference between normal aging and Alzheimer’s, common warning signs, the importance of early detection and benefits of diagnosis, next steps and expectations for the diagnostic process, and Alzheimer’s Association resources.

Library Closure: Thanksgiving
The Fremont County Library System will close early at 5 PM Wednesday, November 27th, and remain closed through Saturday, November 30th for the Thanksgiving holiday. Regular hours will resume on Monday, December 2nd.

Thank you to our nation’s veterans for your service! The Fremont County Library System will be closed Monday, November 11th in observance of the Veterans Day holiday. Regular hours will resume Tuesday, November 12th.

Lego Club and Junior Builders
Join us at the library for some Lego building fun! Our once monthly Lego Club is open to children ages 6 to 12 for free building with library Legos, creations will be displayed in the Children’s department for the week following the club. Our Junior Builders club is open to children ages 3 to 5 with an adult caregiver.

Kick off the 2024-2025 Met season with us at the library! The season opens with Offenbach’s final work, Les Contes d’Hoffmann, featuring an ensemble of leading lights taking the stage.

FCLS Regular Board Meeting
Beginning in September, Regular FCLS Board Meetings will be scheduled to take place on the first Thursday of the month at 11:30 AM for the remainder of the year. Upcoming meeting times and locations are posted on the Library Board page prior to each meeting.
Public is welcome at this month’s meeting in-person at the Lander Library or via Zoom. The Zoom link will be available on the Library Board page one week prior to the meeting.

Monthly Book Challenge for Teens & Tweens
Teens and Tweens! Struggling to figure out what to read? Stop in to try our new monthly reading challenge with a different theme each month. Fill out a ticket for the books you’ve read by October 31st and return it to us to be entered in a drawing for a gift card. Books must be read in October, and graphic novels/picture books won’t count for the challenge.
October’s challenge is to read something spooky! This can be a chapter book, nonfiction book; or something with a ghost, witch, or wizard character.
